Ways to Make Money Online: A Guide

money.jpgThe idea of making money online is attractive to many, primarily because of the benefits it offers. Two main incentives are motivational factors here: The lucrative potential of the internet as well as the personal freedom that comes with working without a fixed schedule or geographic location.

One doesn’t need to suffer through monotonous day jobs which offer poor returns for the time invested.
Indeed, why make $7 an hour selling coffee behind a counter when you can easily earn the same amount by spending 10 minutes to write an article on your blog?
Even if you’re not looking to work full-time at home, the internet offers a viable source of money which can help to supplement your regular income.

A basic search on Google will reveal many ways to make money online and most of the websites listed in the search results pages all seem to focus on the same methods of making money.
I thought it’ll be a good idea to categorize and compile a list of the online money making methods available so that future visitors to Dosh Dosh will have a reference point which provides them with all information they need.
This list uses a rather broad categorization, which I believe covers most of the ways to make money online. More methods and examples of how to make money online will be added to this list, which can be considered a work in progress.

1. Set up a Blog or Website for Profit
One of the best ways to make money online is to create a website or blog which allows you to earn money from the display of advertisements or the sale of products and services. There are many different types of money making blogs which will help you to make money and you’ll need to pick a model that suits your interests, schedule and skill levels. A simple no frills blog will allow you to easily pull in at least several hundred dollars in a month through the use of paid blogging websites alone. For more information, check out Dosh Dosh’s archive of articles on how to make money blogging. Apart from blogs, other websites can easily help you to generate passive income as well. These can range from e-commerce websites, social communities and information portals to basic landing pages for affiliate programs.

2. Learn about Affiliate Marketing and The Art of Selling
This involves promoting a specific product or service and earning commissions whenever the referred user makes a purchase based on your recommendations. Affiliate marketing is a big and profitable industry that covers a wide spectrum of topics and fields. If you’ve got an interest in fitness, you can make money promoting fitness videos or courses. In terms of fashion wear, you can earn commissions by recommending friends to clothing or t-shirt companies with affiliate programs. The amount of money you make depends on what you are selling. Done correctly, affiliate marketing is one of the most powerful ways to make money from the web. Amazon, Commission Junction and ClickBank are three of the biggest affiliate marketplaces you can use if you’re branching out into affiliate marketing.

3. Start an Online Business
Starting your own online business or company allows you to make money off the provision of specific services or products you may have. Some examples of popular online trades include web design, copywriting and internet marketing. It isn’t difficult to start a business. It’s all about hiring the right people or having enough knowledge and connections within a specific industry. You should do some in depth research before you decide to settle on a specific niche for your business. Entrepreneur.com has a good collection of tips on how to start an online business.

4. Try Out Domaining and the Online Real Estate Trade
This is the business of buying, selling, developing and making money from domain names. A domainer purchases many domain names and sells them to interested buyers. This is similar to real estate investing offline and domainers also make money by developing websites and reselling it to a buyer. This practice is known as site flipping and can make you a tidy sum of money if you know how to build an attractive and profitable website. For a rough estimate of how much money you can earn from site flipping, check out the SitePoint Marketplace to browse through the collection of websites for sale.

5. Participate in Get-Paid-to Websites
There are hundreds of websites out there which you pay you to read emails, do surveys, sign up for trial subscriptions and surf the web. Websites that pay you to complete offers are worth examining because they usually include affiliate programs with recurring commissions to be earned. The benefit of get paid to websites is that you don’t need to have your own website or any personal skills at all. The downside is that there are a lot of get-paid-to scams around and finding websites that are legitimate can be fairly difficult. Scam.com is a forum you should visit to learn if the get-paid-to website you’re interested in actually pays its members. There are also several Web 2.0 or social media websites out there that will pay you to participate in their community. This collection of social media websites usually operate via a revenue-sharing system, which allows you to earn a share of the overall ad revenue. How much you earn depends on how much your submitted article, video or image is viewed.

6. Find a Virtual Job or Make Use of Your Expertise
Not only limited to data entry jobs, online jobs in the new economy include virtual assistants, gold farmers, online life coaching and support for open source software. Mini consultation networks like Bitwine and Ether allow you to easily set up shop and offer advice on specific topics through the web. Most of these virtual jobs involve direct communication through electronic mediums like internet telephony, instant messengers and emails. Which means that all you need to get started is a home computer with an steady internet connection. If you are an expert in a specific topic, you can offer consultation via websites like Jyve or Just Answers. Other skill or knowledge based vocations also include participation in online competitions in areas such as photography, writing, designing and even gaming.

7. Freelance and Work on a Contract Basis Online
If you have a skill such as web design, programming or copywriting you can offer your services online in exchange for money. Traditional freelancing jobs include transcription, proofreading, translation services on top of the ones already mentioned above. Online marketplaces that you can use to offer your services include Guru.com and Elance. One of the best ways to find freelance jobs is to visit webmaster forums because webmasters usually require a variety of web-based services, which range from programming and content writing to design work. If you’re focusing on writing if don’t own your own blog, you can still make some money by registering for websites which will pay for your content. Another alternative is get paid to write for other blogs either as a staff or guest writer.

8. Create Your Own Product and Sell it
Products you can create include website templates, sound clips or even your own ebook. Websites like Lulu allow you to easily develop and sell your own collection of electronic products like calenders, brochures, artwork, images and ebooks. If your specialty is images and photography, citizen journalism websites like Spymedia and Citizen Image will pay for your images. You can also try using Shutterstock, the most established and lucrative micro-stock photography website. Illustrators and videographers are also welcome at Shutterstock. This also ties in with the concept of creating your online business, which will allow you to sell the products you create or own without resorting to a third party website which will usually take a commission of the sale.

9. Get Involved in the Online Retail Trade
Ebay and Craigslist are the two of the most popular websites you can use if you are planning to get into the online retail trade. You can purchase products from either website to sell to the other. Alternatively, you can specialize use site-specific methods of participating in the online retail trade. For example, Ebay dropshipping and arbitrage is a method whereby you’ll with offline retailers or exporters in other countries, or buy from one seller and sell to cource doshdosh

Legal-Best-Online-Money-Making-Ways

Here are the Best 101+ Ways To Make Money Online :-

1. Affiliate Marketing (Get Paid Per Sale) - This is the one online money making way that has made and is still making many millionaires. In fact a very competitive field but is immensely rewarding as well. The concept is simple that is you need to promote somebody else's product as an affiliate online. You can promote both physical and digital products on any topic or field you want. There are affiliate networks like Clickbank, Paydotcom, Click2Sell, CJ and Amazon etc where you will get products of all types and of all categories to promote. Just sign up with any one of the affiliate networks (for free) and choose your products to promote. You only make money when the customer that you refer to the merchant site buys a product. Commissions generally vary from 5% to 80% depending on the type of product and the merchant. To know more details on this read my post on - Make money promoting affiliate products online.

2. Affiliate Marketing (Get Paid Per Lead) - This concept is also similar to that of the above way of making money on sale of affiliate products but here you are not required to make any sale to make money. Your work is to promote a link which would lead a prospect to a site where he will be asked to do an activity as desired by the programme and you get your commission when the activity is done. The activities that I have just mentioned are just simple tasks like filling up a form, entering their email address or address or zip code or phone number etc, sign up for a free service, download a pdf or software etc, sign up for a free trial and etc.

Commissions are generally low as compared to the get-paid-per-sale programmes . As the tasks are free to be done and no payments of any sort are required to be made so generally the conversion rate is high and this more then balances the low commission rates. Now many webmasters and affiliate marketers are seen to focus their attention more on get-paid-per-lead programmes to make money online due to their high conversion rates. You can join as an affiliate at CommissionJunction (cj.com), ebay.com and get paid for free sign-ups. There are many such programmes on net just do a Google or Yahoo and you will get plenty of pay-per-lead programmes to promote and make money online.

3. Content Website - Start a content website and put up useful content, resources and the like on a topic that is of much importance and general demand. Optimize your website for the search engines so that you can get free organic traffic. Promote your site online through various mediums like forums, classifieds, advertisements, PPC etc to drive traffic. Then when you start getting a good amount of traffic to your site you can monetize it through various means to earn a considerable income online. You can use contextual advertising like AdSense of Google, promote Affiliate Products (both pay per sale and lead), sell advertising space, sell links, use in-line text ad programmes like Kontera and etc to make money from your website. A very healthy and widely used way to make money online - you can find the web being full of websites which have taken up this approach to make money online.

There are hundreds of blogs online which are making a fortune with this way - in fact this is the second most popular choice of persons who are interested or have already started to make money online. You can start a blog for free at Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, MovableType etc but Blogger is the best choice. You can also start self hosted blog if you have money. You can get freelancing work at GetAFreelancer.com, Elance.com, RentACoder.com, Guru.com and Scriptlance.com etc. These sites mainly work as a middleman between the employers and the freelancers. Registration is free and you need to pay a minor part of your earnings to the freelance sites for their service. Some examples of Freelance work that you can get are Copywriting, Proofreading, Translation, Data Entry, Data Processing, Website Design, Web Promotion, Graphic Design, Link Building, SEO, Telemarketing, Banner Design, Logo Design, C/C++, Photoshop, XML, PHP, Flash, Website Security, Java and etc. Get your self registered to these sites and choose some projects to bid upon to get one to do. Some sites have a premium membership to offer against a fee and generally the better projects are conserved for the premium members and no commission is charged from them. You can read my post on Freelancing to get more details on freelance jobs.

6. Surveys - Answering surveys is a great way to make fast and easy money online. It is also a legitimate and popular way to make money online which virtually requires no personal skill set. You only require a computer, an Internet connection, addresses of some survey providing sites to start with and of course some spare time to answer the surveys and you are ready to get paid for your opinion. Once you are registered with the sites they will send you surveys which you need to fill up to get paid. Pay rates vary but normally are around $5 per survey. To get more details on how to make money online with surveys read - Make Money with Paid Surveys, to get important tips read - Important tips on Paid Surveys and to get a list of money making surveys read - List of Paid Survey Sites.

7. Online Ebay Store - You can start a virtual store online selling out products on Ebay. The products can be your own inventory or somebody else's. You can sell virtually anything on Ebay.com - from pins to ships. In case of your own products you need to handle the packaging yourself but if you tie up with a drop shipping company and sell their products then you need not worry about anything other than promotion of your store. All the tools and help needed for promotion can be found on Ebay. They have a very detailed "Help" section to help you set your store.

You can even sell the junk in your house or office that are of no use to you on Ebay and make some money. You can also sell other people's junk through your store in return for a commission. You can bid for products and buy them at a lower cost and list them in your store to sell at a higher price thus earning good profit. In fact you can sell anything on Ebay to earn a healthy income.

8. Ebay Affiliate - You can register yourself for free as an Ebay affiliate and promote Ebay through promotional means like through your website or blog, through forums and groups etc. You will earn a commission of $3 for each person coming through to Ebay by clicking on your affiliate link and registering for free. Get 10 people to register a day and you can make $900 a month - a decent way of making money online just for motivating people to do something for free.

NOTE - You can surely expect a post - How to make money online with Ebay ? very soon which will explain every thing in much more detail.

9. Equity Trading - I hope we all have heard somebody or the other talking about equities, shares, share market and stock exchanges quiet often. Even you or anybody else can start share trading by getting ourselves registered with any share broker. Though a high risk medium to earn money but if done properly can earn you a real lot of money. You can trade on shares through the broker or sub-broker's terminal at their premises or can open an online account to start trading from your own computer having an Internet connection.

You can buy shares and keep them to be sold when their price rises or can even do Day Trading which means to buy and sell shares on a daily basis for small profits. Once again I must mention that this is particularly a very risky field and you can even lose your capital in just a matter of seconds if you are not careful enough. So it is advised that you educate yourself about the different aspects of share trading including its risks and gains before entering the market. Learn some technical analysis to be on the safer side and never ever believe any so called expert blindly because nobody can predict the movement of an equity. There are many resources available on Internet to learn the field so go ahead - learn - apply. Start with a very small investment and gradually increase later as you start learning the loop holes of this online money making way.

10. Futures and Options - Almost same as above but you got to buy shares in bulk and the game is played on future prices so large investment and more larger risk factors come into play. It is advisable to first enter the Equity trading field and then slowly gain knowledge on Futures and Options and then enter it gradually. This is a very high risk and high gain way of making money online.

11. Commodity Trading - Almost same as above in the concept except here you have to deal with commodities like metals, oil, grains etc. There are separate commodity stock exchanges that deals in commodity trading. The game is played on future prices so more risky. You would have to invest in bulk amounts. There are two options to go for - Future and Options. Again utmost caution is advised and learn before you jump in. Again a high risk way of earning money online but is quiet rewarding too.

12. Forex Trading - Foreign+Exchange=FOREX. This is also one more very enticing way of earning money online. This is also almost similar in concept to equity trading but here foreign currencies are traded through one large world over market - the Forex market. The Forex market is a non-stop cash market where currencies of various nations are traded, typically via brokers. You can open an account with any of these brokers and start trading currencies online from your home. Foreign currencies are constantly and simultaneously bought and sold across local and global markets and traders' investments increase or decrease in value based upon currency movements and their values at a particular moment. Foreign exchange market is very volatile so conditions can change at any time in response to real-time events the world over thus affecting the rates of currencies.

The best part is that the market is open 24hrs and never closes - so you can trade at any time. You can trade in any currency you want like Dollars, Euro or Yen etc. It is a volatile market offering many profit opportunities like you can gain both from gaining and falling markets. There are also many risk controlling instruments like arbitrage and hedging etc. You can trade in large amounts with a very small margin money kept as security with your broker. There is also the option of zero commission offered by many brokers. But as in the previous options educate yourself before you jump into the field. You can make money only with patience and a strategically planned approach.

PPC – Drive Traffic With These PPC Networks

Google AdWords is a very popular PPC (pay per click) network. It’s no surprise that it is the most popular network, because they do have far more traffic available than any other PPC network out there.
But they do have some drawbacks that discourage many users. For one thing, they are also considered the most expensive PPC network. Since they have more traffic, they also have a lot more competition. This drives prices way up. AdWords also has  more rules than most of the other networks.
Because of things like intense competition, high prices, and rules that many believe to be a bit excessive, more and more marketers are looking for other options.
One of the best alternatives is MSN AdCenter. MSN/Bing is one of the most popular search engines, and they do have a decent level of traffic. It’s obviously nowhere near the level of Google, but they do have enough traffic to make using them worthwhile. Their prices are generally cheaper than AdWords, making them an attractive option.
Yahoo Search Marketing  is also popular. Yahoo has been a leader in the search engine marketplace for many years, and they provide a decent level of traffic. Their prices are reasonable, too.
Kanoodle  has been popular for several years. They boast pretty good traffic and competitive prices. Although they don’t have the level of traffic that one of the big three could provide, they still have enough to provide a steady flow to some of the bigger search terms.
AdBrite  is a network that pays webmasters to put their ads on their sites. Because they have a relatively large number of Non-AdWords Options for Pay Per Click Marketing advertisers, they can provide a fair number of visitors. Since they have to pay their advertisers, their prices aren’t quite as low as they could be, but they are still generally far less than AdWords. Personally I haven’t had much success with them.
One of the networks that many webmasters recommend staying away from is GoClick. This network is notorious for providing high volumes of very low-quality traffic. Their clicks are generally very inexpensive, and they can provide very high traffic volumes, but most webmasters claim the quality of the traffic is so poor that it’s practically impossible to even break even, much less make a profit.
There are several other networks that might have potential for some website owners. Some of them have decent traffic levels and good prices. It’s best to put a few dollars into several networks and test the traffic before you make a decision on which ones to use in a bigger way.
Some others you may want to try include: 7 Search, Miva, LookSmart, Ask.com, Search 123, Search Feed, ABC Search, Findology, Local.com, and Pulse 360.
Although Google Adwords should be your first choice do try several of these PPC networks to see which one works best for your niche.

Perhaps your day job only pays you minimum wage, but you’re sure that you’re worth at least $30 if you found the right position. If this is the case, have a serious look at freelancing your skills to others.

3. Take Surveys / Data-entry

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to make some extra cash online this is a good option. You don’t need any special skills to do this, you just complete the surveys and collect the money. If you have a lot of spare time and want to add a few hundred dollars to your monthly income this could be what you’re looking for. You can make $5 to $75 per survey. Most offers pay the lower end of that but if you complete enough surveys it adds up.

4. Auction Businesses

While most people tend to believe that running an online business is too complex to even approach, running an auction business often seems far less complicated, and many people can even earn an income this way without even owning their own website. You don’t even have to worry about drawing customers in through eBay. Therefore, your promotion budget is minimal, since so many people use eBay anyway. There are many ways in which you can start an eBay auction business. If you want to know how to properly get your auction business going, pick up my free eBook.

5. Creating and Selling Information Products

Selling information products is yet another potentially lucrative business model. Believe it or not, you know more than 95% of the population on at least two or three topics. 6. Blogging

If you’re good at writing, you might be able to make money from blogging. The secret to a profitable blog is to provide smart content, and at the same time, be able to monetize your blog. Blogs which are profitable typically use a mix of affiliate marketing, lead generation and AdSense advertising. You can write about almost any topic for your blog. Still, it’s wise to choose a specific topic that has a niche audience, and which can be supported by related affiliate programs. You have to make sure your content is original – blog readers are very discerning people, and won’t visit something that doesn’t entertain them immensely or that they’ve seen before.

8. Online Teaching

Online education is a booming industry and with that comes the demand for online teachers. Indeed, you can make a living teaching online. For example, you can do this on a part-time basis teaching night classes.

A business with exceptional potential is the online training business.

Make Money

The following is a list of all the ad networks and affiliate programs I use to make money online. They were chosen from this exhaustive list of 130 ad networks. I have used all the following networks at one time or another and can highly recommend them. They have proven to provide good service/support and most importantly, on time payments.

TTZ Media Network
This is my own ad network. It’s ideal for technology and shopping related sites. TTZ Media provides product based ads that are trigger by keywords. The ads show products that are based on the keywords entered and a list of online stores where the products can be purchased. A reader clicking on the product will be taken to the store offering the product for sale. Money is generated with a CPC model. A reader need only click on the banner and visit the advertiser in order for the site to make money. The reader does not have to purchase the product from the advertiser. CPC rates are based on product categories and number of clicks the affiliate can generate. Our tech/review site based affiliates realize eCPM as high as $12.

Kontera ContentLink
Kontera ContentLink allows you to make money from advertising without giving up any current advertising spots. Their technology reads your post and turns certain words into an ad. The highlighted words are double underline and an ad pops up when you hover over it. Normally Kontera requires a site have a minimum 500,000 page views per month before being accepted into the program. However, I have a partnership with Kontera that will allow smaller blogs to use their ContentLink service.
Fill out the application and enter “John Chow Kontera partnership” into the Comments field. The application is sent to my personal account representative. He will approve you based on your blog content and not your traffic level. This is a great way to use a service that is normally only available to high traffic sites.

How To Make Money In Affiliate Marketing

How would you like to earn a little extra cash each month? Or even replace your income, working less to make more money… Think its a pipe dream? well, think again.
Most people know that there are millions of dollars being spent every single day purchasing products and services online. But did you know that you could be earning a % on every sale made by simply referring and recommending the products that you like to people.
It’s one of the best ways to get started making money online – you don’t need a website, you don’t need a blog, you don’t even need any cash to get started, although these things can help, you can certainly start without them. By helping consumers research and choose products they already want to buy, which could be as simple as writing a 500 word article (just like this one) you could be earning a nice little second income.
Or if you want to take it a little more seriously, you can earn a full income, even more than most “real world” jobs pay.
Want to get started right away? Click Here to check out the best internet marketing courses I have come across!

I personally make a full time living through affiliate marketing, and have been doing it now for about 5 years. Working from home, choosing the hours to suit my lifestyle, and making a lot more than I ever made working 60 hours a week in a job I hated.
But if you really want to achieve some success with affiliate marketing you need a plan that will get you the level of income you want. A lot of people I speak too love the “Idea” of making money online, they usually ask me a million questions, and tell me how serious they are, how they are going to go home and get stuck into it, read all the stuff I recommend and get started asap.
But then most of them never actually follow through on any of it. Then 6 months later I will see them again, some will avoid the topic completely, while others tell me again how serious they are, and they are really going to do it “this time”.
It’s pretty ammusing for me, watching people make up excuses as to why they havnt done anything.
Personally I don’t really care if they do it or not, it doesn’t effect me at all. Although it would be nice to have more friends who arent working all week to play golf with and take the boat out. But other than that, it makes no difference to me.
I don’t really understand it though, I believe its the perfect business, think about it, you can make as much money as you like, your income is a direct result of the amount of effort you put in. You can work whatever hours you like. (Which is very few when you have been doing it for a few years) Plus you can do it from anywhere you can plug in a laptop. So if you like to Holiday or travel around the world, its the perfect business.
But how do you get involved?
The best place to start is by going to a website that houses a wide range of affiliate products. This keeps everything together in one easy to access place and gives you plenty to explore. You can also get an idea of which particular areas you would like to concentrate on. The worst thing you can do in affiliate marketing is to use the scattergun approach.
This is when you try and promote a wide range of products that aren’t connected with each other, all from a single website. In essence it isn’t aimed at anyone – and you’ll make fewer sales as a result.
Instead, do some research and come up with a specific group of people that you can find a wide range of products for. Or find a particular problem that people are searching online for solutions too, and direct them to the solution. Not only do you stand a much better chance of making a sale, But people will actually thank you for helping them find a solution, and be more than happy that you got paid to help them.
But if you don’t have a website, how can you promote your products?
There are several ways of doing this. One of the best is to use article directories like EzineArticles.com or Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo.com, which allow you to build web pages for free on pretty much any subject you like. Once these get indexed by Google and you do a little promotion for them, then you’ll start getting a steady stream of traffic – if you’ve picked the right topics and search terms to target.
At the beginning I mentioned the need to have a plan to reach the level of income you want. Not many affiliates actually do this and it’s one of the main reasons why more people aren’t making a lot of money with affiliate marketing. It’s certainly not because the potential isn’t there – it’s because they don’t plan to take advantage of it in the right way.
You should always look at how much you will get by way of commission for each product. Obviously the less the commission, the more units you will need to sell to achieve your desired income. You’ll achieve this through a balance of products obviously, but it’s worth bearing in mind.
You also need to think about the type of people you are marketing to. What kind of income do they bring in? How much are they likely to want to spend on the products you’ll be offering? If you don’t match these two aspects up properly you will struggle to make any real sales.
It’s also helpful to set short, medium and long term goals to help keep things in perspective. A short term goal might be to sell five products a week continually, for example. A long term goal could be to make $100,000 a year from affiliate marketing. Goals will help you to decide where you want to go with your fledgling affiliate marketing business.
Another important point to be aware of is that it’s wise to protect your income wherever you can. What I mean by this is that affiliate links can be rather obvious at times, and some people will actually delete your link and go into the site and buy something while denying you the commission.
The easy way to prevent this is to simply buy a domain for each product you are going to promote, and redirect it to the affiliate offer.  There are plenty of free tools that do this for you online, and it’s really the safest way to protect your interests. It also changes a long ugly link into a nice short one – much nicer for the article directories!
Affiliate marketing is like any other business, once you start generating some income, then you can start to invest some of that money back into your business to ensure you enjoy ongoing growth.
In short, start slowly and keep those visions of a huge income in perspective to begin with. You’ll soon get to know your way around the business and with each new experience you can build your knowledge and earn even more in the months and years to come.
When I was first starting out, I learnt the basics by purchasing a few books and e-books on the topic, but mostly it was left to trial and error. I had to make a lot of mistakes in order to find a few good ideas that worked and made money.
Fortunately these days there are some really good resources available for people looking to learn this business. So if you’re serious about becoming an affiliate marketer, and want to learn how to make an excellent living from the comfort of your own home, Click Here and take a look at the most comprehensive affiliate marketing education system I have seen.
The most important thing to do though, is to just get started, do something right now, then follow it up tomorrow with something else… Try and do something every day towards your goal, don’t put it off for a single day, and before you know it, you will have a nice steady stream of profits coming in.
Too many of the people I talk to, put things off until they have more time, but then they forget, and never end up getting started at all. So commit to yourself, take some action and get started today.

How To Make Money Blogging

More and more people are realising that blogging is one of the best ways to start your own online business. It requires minimal start up costs, you can build an impressive and loyal readership over time and once you know how to monetize your blog it can also bring in a decent income that will keep on coming even on the days when you don’t update your blog.
Now you’re probably thinking that all you need to do is grab a free blog account from one of the biggest providers online and you’ll be off and away, but you’d be wrong. Read on to find out more…
There are several ways to set up a blog online. You could use Wordpress, Blogger, or another free site that hosts your blog for you; or alternatively you can set up your own blog under your own domain name.
Want to get started right away? Click Here To Check To Check Out A Great Step By Step BluePrint On How To Make Money Blogging!

But if you want to make money from blogging, you must have complete control over your blog – and that’s something the free blogging accounts won’t give you. You’ll be bound by their terms and conditions and that usually includes not being able to actively promote anything. There are plenty of people who have established a blog only to have it removed without notice some weeks or months later.
It will cost you a few dollars to buy your domain name and set up a web server that will host your blog, but the benefits will far outweigh the cost involved. It can literally be as little as $20 a year we’re talking about here – and that buys you total freedom.
Once you’re ready to set your blog up you’ll need to choose a good theme and layout for it. You might find one that relates to your choice of subject (more on that in a moment) or else there might be one you just like the look of. But there are thousands of templates available for you to use – a simple search on Google will reveal the ones that will be best suited to your topic.
But perhaps the most important question is what you are going to blog about. The whole world is your oyster here – some people blog about their lives in general; some blog about their jobs; some blog about their hobbies; some tell the world about their kids and what it’s like to be a parent, and still others blog about the weird world of celebrities. But whatever you choose to blog about it needs to be something you are passionate about. Don’t forget, you are going to be writing about this topic several times a week, and if you don’t have the enthusiasm for it, that will show in your posts – and no one else will have the enthusiasm to read them.
Okay – so you’ve got your subject. Now you have to start writing your blog posts. If you take a look at just a few of the blogs already online, you’ll notice that the length of the posts varies a lot. Some people only write a paragraph or two each time, but you’ll get better results if you go for something a little longer than this. Around 400 to 500 words makes for a good post with a lot of information in it; some people write hugely long posts that are thousands of words long and could be called an e-book by another name.
But you can also take the format of this blog, by posting a short blog entry which leads into a longer article. This has the benefit of highlighting a lot of blog posts on the home page of the site, and people can then click through and read the ones they like the most.
You should remember however that there are no real rules when it comes to blogging. Over time you will naturally find what works for you, and your blog will settle down into a nice pattern that both you and your readers will enjoy. You’ll find your character and personality will start to come through in your writing too; don’t fight against this as it is one of the hallmarks of blogging. It is, after all, a personal account of an individual’s life and experiences, so show people what you’re made of! You’ll get a more loyal – and bigger – audience like this.
So you’ve got your blog up and running and you’re posting to it on a regular basis. The next step is to get it in front of as many interested eyeballs as possible.
One great way to do this is to submit it to as many of the social bookmarking sites as possible. You can also join social networking sites and build a profile which contains a link to your blog. Other no cost ways to generate traffic include writing free articles for article directories with a link to your blog at the end, and creating signatures at the end of any posts you make to internet forums, and also in all the emails you send out. When you really start thinking about it, you don’t actually need to spend anything to generate plenty of traffic.
All we need to do now is monetize the blog itself. You’ll want to generate some money from all the visitors you’ll start getting, and there are plenty of ways to do this easily. Google Adsense is probably the most well known method – you can join the program for free and display contextual ads that your visitors will be interested in to maximise your click through rate.
There are also a handful of websites which give you the opportunity to get paid for each blog post you make on a specific subject. Pay Per Post and Review Me are two such examples, and they will pay you a certain amount of money to review a product or website for the owner. In a similar vein you can also review and recommend other people’s products through affiliate links inserted into your blog posts, and earn money on commissions earned through any purchases people make.
And once you’re more established you can offer ad space on your blog too, and charge a fee for both classified and display ads if you wish. What could be better than setting your own price?
But there is one final step you can take with your blog if you enjoy a change of scene every now and again. You can sell your blog! Once it is established and has plenty of revenue and traffic, you can usually sell it for ten times its monthly revenue.
And then, you can start all over again with a whole new subject!
So that’s it – profitable blogging in a nutshell. If you have any questions feel free to leave your comments in the form below. And once you’ve done that, get out there and get started building your first blog today.

How To Make Money With Google Adsense

If you have a website or a blog, you should definitely sign up for Google Adsense. It’s one of the few programs you can truly ‘set and forget’ – once it’s there you don’t really need to do much else with it.
But there are ways and means to maximize your income from Google Adsense, and as you get to know more about it you can start to generate a decent income from it that will keep rolling in month after month. It’s a true passive income, which is why so many people are using it.
Most people have heard of Google Adsense, but not everyone understands exactly how to use it to its best advantage. So we’ll start with how to use it in its most basic sense and then progress to the more advanced benefits you can get from the program.
Basically if you have a website or blog you can sign up for a free account at Google Adsense and start putting contextual ads on your website. What do I mean by contextual? It means quite simply that the ads which appear on your site will be relevant to your content. So let’s say for example that your website is about tropical fish. The Google ads will then be related to tropical fish in some way. And because of the information that you give to Google, they will also display adverts that are relevant to your area. So if you are based in the UK the ads that appear will be relevant to UK buyers; if your site or business is based in Australia the ads will appeal to Australian buyers.
All of this is carefully worked out for you in order to attract the maximum click through possible for your website and your ads. Every time someone clicks on an ad you will get a few cents into your Adsense account, so it makes sense that the more attractive and relevant your ads are to your visitors, the more money you will make.
Let’s have a look at the appearance of your ads now, since this can affect the amount of click throughs you get. You can choose the color and borders of your ads to fit right in with the color scheme on your site if you wish, but it’s worth experimenting with having no borders at all around your adverts since this makes them blend in with your content more seamlessly and may encourage more click throughs in a subtle but effective manner.
However well you integrate Google Adsense into your current blog or website though, there is obviously a limit to the amount of money you can make from one site. If you get thousands of people visiting your site every day then you can expect to get a good income from it but many people don’t get this number of visitors and that’s where you need a separate strategy to try and up your numbers.
In this case you can go to the advanced level of Adsense income and think about starting several sites, all based around a different yet popular subject. You should think of these essentially as being content sites, since they are often chock full of articles and useful content which is carefully keyworded to attract plenty of search engine traffic on that particular subject. The Adsense ads are then placed in the optimum positions to achieve the best click through (the Adsense pages will give you ideas on where to position them but it’s worth experimenting to see what works best for you), and the site goes live for people to find and read through.
You can also insert affiliate links for products into these sites in order to gain even more income if you wish, but they are often known as Adsense sites simply because they are set up to attract visitors and click throughs on a specific subject.
Some people end up with dozens of sites like this, and the beauty of them is that once they are built and you have bought your domain name and hosting plan you don’t really need to do too much with them except for promote them. Updating them fairly regularly is good if you want to get to a higher position in the search engine results though, which will gain you more visitors as a result.
You can also keep your site updated more regularly (and encourage repeat visitors) by inserting RSS feeds of news stories related to the subject of your website. Anything that will get people returning to read more – and possibly click on more ads as a result – is worth a try.
One final note here – choose the subjects of your Adsense sites wisely. It’s tempting to go for whatever is in the news at the moment, but once the stories die down so will your traffic. You want something that people will always want to know about – saving money, getting a better job, earning more, and various other more personal subjects such as skin care and successful dating for example. There are plenty of options to choose from; you just need to get your thinking cap on to find them.
In short the best place to start making money from Google Adsense is to integrate it into your existing website or blog. As you gain experience and discover the best ways to use it you can start thinking about adding extra sites into the mix. You might end up being an Adsense guru and raking in plenty of money for very little work indeed. That’s the best thing about it – the ‘set and forget’ benefit that keeps on working even when you’re not.
If you enjoyed this article or have any questions or comments about it, please leave them by using the form below. Once you’ve done that it will be time to visit Google’s Adsense site to get started! Good luck.

Make Money Online With Five Types Of Affiliate Marketing

Recently, I talked about using affiliate marketing to make money online. So, today I’m going to discuss five of the best types of affiliate marketing for making big money online.
Pay Per Click (PPC) – Google Adsense
With PPC marketing the merchant pays affiliates whenever a visitor clicks on a merchant’s banner or text ad. The affiliate gets paid for every click even if the visitor he referred does not purchase anything from the merchant’s site.
Pay per click marketing is most closely associated with Google Adsense. Google Adsense is THE biggest money makers on my pure content sites. Adsense is a truly great way to make money with content sites and blogs.
The advantages of PPC systems like Adsense are:
1. Very easy to add to your site.
2. You don’t have to sell anything to make money with PPC.
3. You don’t have to choose programs to promote, the PPC system does that for you.
These advantages make PPC systems like Adsense very appealing to small websites and beginners. I, and many others that I know, have made a lot of money with Adsense.
Pay Per Sale (PPS)
PPS affiliate marketing is the most popular type used by merchants. In this type of affiliate program, the merchant only pays the affiliate whenever his referral buys a product. Affiliates are often paid on a commission basis (percentage of the sale), although some merchants pay a fixed fee. Commissions in PPS affiliate marketing can range from 1% to 100% of the sales.
Pay Per Lead (PPL)
Pay-per-lead (sometimes called Pay Per Action) is a type of affiliate marketing that is often used by insurance companies and other companies who rely on leads for their profits. The Death of Adsense ebook was a good example of Pay Per Lead in the Internet marketing industry. In this type of affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever the visitor he/she referred to the merchant’s site fills in an application form or takes an action that the merchant wants them to take. For example, a car insurance affiliate program will often want a person’s zip code to help find the best car insurance for them. Compensation for this type of affiliate marketing is a fixed fee and is often very lucrative for affiliates. In fact, one of my friends and mentors makes a nice income from pay per lead affiliate marketing.
In addition to the above types of affiliate marketing, there are other affiliate marketing types that enhance the earnings an affiliate can make.
Multi-Tier Affiliate Marketing
Some affiliate programs offer multiple tiers or levels that the affiliate can make money from. Single-tier affiliate marketing is the much more common than multi-tier, but multi-tier affiliate programs can be much more profitable. In a single-tier affiliate marketing program, the affiliates are paid based on the direct sales or traffic referred to the merchant.
In two-tier affiliate marketing programs, the affiliate is paid for for both the direct traffic or sales that he refers to the merchant’s site, AND all the clicks (PPC) or sales (PPS) or leads (PPL) referred by various other affiliates who joined the affiliate program through his affiliate link. Multi-tier affiliate marketing (3-tier, 4-tier, 5 tier, etc.) creates additional commission for the affiliates from the different tiers in the affiliate network. A good example of a multi-tier affiliate program is SiteSell which has 5 tiers.
Residual Income Affiliate Marketing
In residual income affiliate marketing, the affiliate gets paid whenever the customer he/she has referred returns to the site and purchase another product or renews a membership, etc. Compensation for such type of affiliate marketing is usually based on a sales percentage or a fixed fee. Residual income affiliate marketing is most commonly used by membership sites. I personally love getting paid every month from affiliate programs that offer residual income and look for opportunities to join affiliate programs that offer residual income in the areas I promote.
This is a basic summary of these five types of affiliate marketing. The important thing, as with all other kinds of marketing, is to find what works for you and your business. Experiment with different programs and different types of affiliate marketing and find out what works best for you and your visitors. As with everything else in making money online, it’s all about the numbers. If a particular method isn’t making money for you, by all means try something else.

How To Totally Fail At Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a powerful tool to make money online. I have been talking about it a lot (here and here) the last few weeks.
But what if success scares you and you want to fail miserably at affiliate marketing? How do you do that?

Here are some tips that will help you fail faster than the average joe ;)
1. If Something Works Stop Doing It Immediately
If something works stop doing it immediately and try something else. This is one of the most obvious rules of bad affiliate marketing. Most people start out doing this, but if for some reason you are new to affiliate marketing and you find that you are making money with it, then STOP doing what is working. Otherwise you might have great success and ruin your chances of failing!
2. Only Promote Products You Hate
A product may be hot, but is it the right product for you? Contrary to popular belief, most affiliates have success when they are passionate about a product. The passion itself creates energy and drive, and these are the things that your potential customers will tune in to. So to ensure failure only pick products you either hate or at the very least ambivalent about promoting. Never promote products that you are passionate about if you want to fail!
3. Join Every Affiliate Program on The Face Of The Earth
Problems are bound to arise when you join too many affiliate programs at once. The more affiliate programs you join the easier it is for you to be pulled in multiple directions at once. Not being able to focus is an AWESOME way to fail at affiliate marketing or any business venture for that matter. No matter what you do, do NOT promote only one or two programs that pay large commissions. And absolutely don’t give those programs your undivided attention. If you can’t sign up for enough affiliate programs to keep you from focusing on promoting one or two programs, then your chances of making money with affiliate marketing actually might get too high and you (gasp) might not fail!
4. Don’t Do Your Research
Don’t research companies to see if they have good customer reviews and don’t find out if they pay affiliates. If you insist on researching affiliate programs be sure to search the internet for scams and affiliate programs that have lots of complaints from affiliates about not being paid for their efforts. That’s a great way to find a loser that will all but ensure failure!
5. Promote Products and Services You Know Nothing About
A common mistake that new affiliates often make is not being familiar with the product. This mistake almost guarantees your failure. So… NEVER BUY THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE YOU ARE GOING TO PROMOTE. If you do buy the product or service and you like it, then you CAN NOT promote it or you might make money! In order to be sure you are going to fail, only promote products you hate or that you have never used.
In summary, using these 5 methods should ensure you failure in affiliate marketing. What is your favorite method of failing? If you know of any other good methods for failing at affiliate marketing let me know in the comments below?

Local Business Money Machine Review - Opening its Doors Again

Hi, this is Jill, George’s wife. For a bit of a change of pace, I’m going to offer the update on our experience with Local Business Money Machine.
We started with the program in June. As you know, George has been involved with internet marketing for quite some time. In spite of his grasp on the subject and the success of this blog, we’ve never found that one thing that works best for us as far as actually making money. So, after George was laid off, we came across Local Business Money Machine and thought it seemed like an excellent opportunity. And it has been. The program has opened twice now— once when we joined and again about 6 weeks later. Now, they’re opening their doors once again.
Let me start by saying we have made back every penny we’ve put into the program. We haven’t yet replaced George’s full time salary, but I think it’s realistic to expect that we’ll be able to do that by early next year, if not earlier. The program does talk about making a full time salary in three months, but I think that’s pretty aggressive.
First, it depends on what you consider full time. After 20 years of George working as a software programmer and with six children, our idea of a “full time” salary is most likely a bit higher than someone in their twenties. Second, I think it does depend somewhat on your existing business network. To get those first clients, it’s nice if you already have some inroads. The program provides lots of information on finding your first clients, but our experience has been that some of those take a bit longer. We’ve got some seeds we’ve been watering since July that we expect to finally bloom in the next couple of weeks. We started with practically no useful local business contacts, so we had to start from ground zero in that regard. Even under those circumstances, we’re in a good place for a three month old business.
As George wrote in his first post on this topic, we’re not sure about how effective this program would be for the absolute novice. I think there’s enough information there for a complete newbie, but I think it might take a bit longer to implement. However, the information provided is very clear and comprehensive. My college degree is in theater and, other than being married to George and listening to him talk, I don’t really have a technical background. The material in Local Business Money Machine has been very accessible to me. I’ve had no problems following the content and even communicating it to others.
There is a LOT of material in the program. You’d probably need about two weeks of consistent time set aside listening to the trainings to get started (a couple of hours a day, I’d say). And then you’ll need weekly time set aside to listen to the ongoing trainings, visit the forums, etc. But there’s no program out there that is going to give you a full time income just for purchasing it (run away from any that promise that). Local Business Money Machine will train YOU to be a money making machine, but it’s not going to do the work for you. It provides solid principles for getting started in a real business offering traffic services to local businesses. But it’s up to you to implement the training.
So, in summary, if the recent economy has you thinking about starting a new business full time or adding to your income by working part-time, and you enjoy this blog and learning about internet marketing, I think the Local Business Money Machine is a great blueprint for getting started in a business that is interesting, absolutely needed by local businesses and only going to grow in the future. There is a money back guarantee, so if you get it and decide it’s just not for you, you’re not stuck. If you do decide to get it and then return it, email George and let him know why. We’d be interested in knowing who the program DOESN’T work for, as we already have a good idea who it DOES work for.
If you buy the program, we’d like to help you use the program successfully. We’re offering you a Quick Start Blueprint— the parts of the program that we felt were the most critical for getting started, including our most successful networking tips and the tools (both paid and free) that we’ve found the most useful. And when you finish those trainings and have had a chance to get your feet wet, we’ll give you a 60 minute phone consultation at the end of your first month where you can ask any questions you may have.
One last thing, when you sign up for the program you’ll have the opportunity to add on a 4-Pack. We highly recommend it. The Million Dollar Presentation, alone, is worth the cost. As the networking/sales member of our team, I have used it several times, and it always wows people. I used it to do a 20 minute presentation at our local Chamber of Commerce, and the next day at another networking event, I had people who weren’t even at the presentation tell me that they’d heard it was great from other people at the Chamber. It really set us apart as a business that knew what we were talking about.
Thanks for reading. We’re really excited about our future with the program, and we’re very thankful for the opportunity it has given us. Go watch the free videos about the program and decide if it’s the right opportunity for you.
To get our bonus for the Local Business Money Machine follow the steps below:

Another Business Oppportunity To Make Money Online With Local Businesses

As you know, Jill and I started a houston web marketing and design company that helps local businesses make money online. Well, Jeff Walker just released a cool video about a new training course he is going to launch that teaches local businesses how to make a ton of money with product launches. This sounds like a great business opportunity.
I am personally very interested in the course because I think it would be a great service to offer to local businesses. It fits really well with our current business. If the price is reasonable then it will be hard for us not to invest in the training.
Anyway, Jeff is giving away some good free information in his videos about the course, so I recommend you click here to check it out.
